CTI Mini-Max, and Digital Signetic Programming.
Diagrams Index Configure Mini-Max for 115V Operation only

Important! If you have connected the CTI Spa Control to a 115 volt power source, or a 230 volt power source that is not capable of delivering at least 40 amps, then the unit MUST be programmed for the Low Current mode of operation.

Programming the CTI Mini-Max spa control is a relatively simple procedure. It involves putting the control into the "programming mode", and then setting 7 parameters in sequence. Once you enter the programming mode, if you walk away, or get distracted, then unit will go back to normal operation after approximately 15 seconds of inactivity.

  • Activate the programming mode: Hold down the Heat and Light buttons simultaneously for several seconds. When the r 01 appears, then you are in the programming mode. The r 01 or other number simply refers to the firmware revision of the processor. Your controller may show a different number. Press the Heat key to go into the programming sequence.
  • Set Centigrade or Farenheit Display: A C or F should appear. Press the Jets key to toggle from centigrade or farenheit. Once you've selected what you want, press the Heat key.
  • Select Filter Cycle Time: A C4, C5, C6, C7, or C12 will appear. These simply indicate the number of hours in a 12 hour period. Press the Jets key to cycle through the available settings. C12 will set the filtration for 24 hours a day, in otherwords, 12 out of 12 hours it is turned on. The minimum setting is 4 hours, and will work fine for virtually all spas. When your desired setting is displayed, press the heat key.
  • Select High or Low Current Mode: A HC or LC will appear. If your spa is connected to a 230 volt power source capable of at least 40 amps, then select HC, otherwise you MUST select LC. Use the Jets key to select the appropriate mode, then press the heat key.
  • Select Maximum Temperature: If your temperature display setting is set to farenheit, the display will show between 100º and 106° depending upon the previous setting. Use the Jets key to select the desired maximum system temperature, then press the heat key.
  • Select One or Two Speed pump: A P11 or P12 will be displayed. Select P11 for a single speed pump, or P12 for a two speed pump. Use the Jets key to select the correct pump type, then press the heat key.
  • Digital Signetic Dual Pump System Only: Select One or Two Speed pump, Pump 2: A P21 or P22 will be displayed. Select P21 for a single speed pump, or P22 for a two speed pump. Use the Jets key to select the correct pump type, then press the heat key.
  • Lock Enable Setting: A LE or – – will be displayed. Select LE to enable panel locking to prevent tampering with settings. See the operations guide for instructions on how to use this control feature. Use the Jets key to select the desired setting, then press the heat key.
  • Blower Purge Setting: A P6 or P12 will be displayed. Select P6 to purge the blower channel every six hours, or P12 to purge the blower channel every 12 hours. Use the jets key to select the desired purge timing, and then press the heat key.
  • You are now finished programming the controller. To re-enable the programming mode to change any settings, just repeat the above steps.
